Shively Baptist Church Family,

We hope things have been going well for you and your family. As many of you have probably seen this past week, the governor has said that churches could start having public gatherings beginning May 20th.

However, as the requirements of reopening are quite stringent, we as elders have set a start date of June 7th for our first in-person worship service.  We are eager to be back together as a physical body, but want to do this as safely and responsibly as possible. Our first step will be to begin services as “worship only” with no other activities. There will be no nursery, Sunday school, or Wednesday night programming until further notice.

We recognize that it is important for us to connect with our Sunday school communities, and we hope to get back to our normal routine in the near future. In the meantime, we will be training our Sunday school leaders to develop virtual meeting opportunities for everyone to be a part of.  We will have more details for reopening (what to expect, wearing face masks, etc.) in the near future.  We look forward to seeing each of you again soon!
